I am Jakob. I grew up in Tyreso, south of Stockholm.
I like to play tennis, grow chili and bake sourdough.
When the weather is at its worst, I like to take my surfboard under my arm and throw myself out among the waves.
Started 2007 and still is my number one hobby

Whenever the weather is bad and windy, I like to go surfing. Therefore I might be a guy that is more happy in general and not ever blaming weather conditions.
It all started back in 2007 when dad had his 40s crisis. We went to Australia for a month and we ended up just surfing because it was so fun. Ever since, every vacation where we go somewhere with the family has been about surfing.
In 2012 I got my drivers license and immediately started working with Lapoint arranging road trips between Stockholm and Norway. After some time I got offered to work in Costa Rica as a surf instructor, which I decided to do. I worked with Lapoint for three seasons from 2012 to 2015.
Side projects and hands-on building that strengthen my product judgment and collaboration with developers
I build and maintain this website myself, and I also spend time on a hobby project called GamerComs. For me, these projects are not separate from my work. They are a practical way to explore ideas, test assumptions, and better understand how product decisions play out in real implementation.
With GamerComs, that also includes thinking about infrastructure cost, monetization, hosting, and ongoing maintenance. I handle things like GitHub workflows and server-related setup on an Akamai-hosted Ubuntu Apache environment, which gives me a more grounded understanding of the decisions and tradeoffs that sit around a product, not just inside the interface.
Working this way has made me better at thinking through scope, UX, structure, and implementation before work reaches development. It also helps me collaborate more effectively with developers, because I have a clearer sense of what is simple, what is messy, and where details can affect delivery. I am not trying to present myself as a full-time developer or someone looking to turn side projects into my main path. What matters is that I like taking ownership, learning by doing, and turning ideas into something real. That makes me stronger in product, technical product, web, and digital roles where good judgment and close collaboration matter.
Ever since I was little

Whenever there is no wind, a.k.a. no waves in the ocean, I like to surf among the waves of the internet. This is something I have done ever since I was a little boy, when Windows 98 came. At the moment my favorite game is Rocket League. It is a game where you play football with flying cars. I also play games like Guild Wars 2, Phasmophobia, Grand Theft Auto V, Rainbow Six Siege and many others. If you like to play sometime, just send me a message!
In 2018, I started to stream on Twitch.tv. Back then I played Fortnite, and actually came in at ranking 18 in Sweden during Season 6, if I remember correctly. I got quite successful with a total of 14 to 20 viewers per stream back then. Now I am not that successful, but I still like to stream and share my content. So come on by and say hi sometime at twitch.tv/jakeoz.
Started 2019 in Halmstad
Me and my friends in Halmstad started playing tennis in 2019 just for fun. The courts were open for everyone to use for free, so it was a cheap and available activity for us poor students. I later started taking lessons every Tuesday and Thursday just because I liked it that much. I play a lot of tennis in the summer here in Stockholm. There are some very nice courts around where I live. Give me a shout if you want to play sometime!
At home, I am the one watering the plants. I like to plant chili peppers and coleus in different kinds.
Other than that I bake my own morning bread with my mom's old sourdough from 10 years back. It is quite cool how long the dough has been alive. I must admit though, I have got some new dough a couple of times just because I have forgotten to feed it when I do not bake.
